SouthCo Education Group, LLC is the affiliate company of SouthCo Services, which was founded out of a passion and desire for education.  The purpose of the company is to provide support, consultation, resources, and professional development training to the education field.

 

The company was started in 2006 simply as a resource for small business needs and creative design services.  Soon after, the company shifted focus to the education field due to my passion for teaching and learning.  Early in my teaching career, I became frustrated and disappointed with all the non-sense and no-sense curriculum ideas that continuously showed up as part of my everyday job duites.  Most of those ideas came from, and are still coming from, individuals who do not have much experience or knowledge about working on the frontlines in education; so, I decided I would attempt to improve and make sense of the curriculum ideas.  I want to help solve the education puzzle.

 

With my knowledge and background in teaching, I began creating and designing numerous resources for teachers, including curriculum unit plans, supplemental curriculum, assessments, and student activities.

 

In addition to the many curriculum resources, I also provide much needed professional development training to individual schools and school districts on a variety of topics, including classroom management, curriculum design and implementation, and student engagement.

 

Student success is the number one priority for all of us in the education arena; therefore, I provide tutoring services for students of all ages, in all subjects, and all levels of understanding.  It is my goal to encourage and motivate students to succeed no matter the challenges.
